Environmental Management Goals

We establish and manage specific standards, procedures, and methods to measure environmental management performance. Each affiliate's dedicated ESG department is develops an effective environmental performance system by identifying and analyzing changes to the internal and external management environment, based on the group's ESG KPIs. These performance indicators are finalized through management reports, the board of directors, and subordinate committees, such as the ESG Committee. Performance compensation for relevant executives and departments (teams) is determined based on the performance of targets.

Environmental Management Education

We provide education on proper handling methods for chemicals to our employees, as well as to those from partner companies. We also conduct emergency response training for environmental accidents, such as pollutant leaks and environmental facility breakdowns, for environmental facility managers. Additionally, we ensure the legal operation of ecological facilities through regular environmental education and familiarization with relevant environmental laws and regulations.

Environmental Management System Certification and Internal Audit

We have obtained ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management system, enabling company-wide implementation. Each certified business site receives a regularly audit by an accredited certification body and renews certification every 3 years. We are currently enhancing our environmental management system by conducting internal audits with professional personnel who have completed internal auditor courses, such as ISO 14001, and are providing education for HSE promoters in each department.

Environmental Management Communication

We actively communicate on both positive and negative environmental impacts that could arise from our business activities with stakeholders. Through such communication, we listen to and respect the opinions and concerns of various stakeholders, including employees, partner companies, and local communities, and share responsibilities and roles regarding environmental issues.

Environmental Accident Response

To prevent environmental pollution accidents that may occur during business activities, we conduct regular self-inspections at our environmental facilities. We also conduct hazard assessments for chemical products to be handled in preparation for chemical spill accidents and providing guidelines and training for safe handling.
